Hi, I’m Jason Dunaway — photographer, writer, husband, and father to three amazing boys. I live in Birmingham, Alabama, where most days are a blend of creativity, family adventures, and chasing golden light.

My journey behind the camera began long before it became a business. It started with a love for storytelling — for freezing time in a way that helps us see what’s always been true: beauty is everywhere. Whether it’s a quiet moment at home, a wedding filled with laughter, or the stillness of a mountain sunrise, I see each frame as a conversation between light, story, and soul.

Dunaway Visuals grew out of that love — a space where photography, writing, and travel all meet. My camera goes wherever I go: exploring new places, capturing honest connection, and finding wonder in the ordinary.

But at the heart of it all is home — my wife, my boys, and the simple joy of watching life unfold in real time. They remind me that the most meaningful stories aren’t staged; they’re lived.
